Writing a doc is exactly like writing a post or a page: the same editor, the same media library, the same revisions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Docs screens are available to administrators and editors. If someone with a NiroHelp role cannot see them, read Roles and permissions<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Add a new doc<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

1. Go to NiroHelp \u2192 Docs \u2192 Add New<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Enter a title. The slug comes from it and becomes the last part of the address.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Write the body. The block editor and the classic editor both work – see Code blocks and images<\/a> for the two places they behave differently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. Pick one or more Topics<\/strong> in the sidebar. Topics are the chapters of your knowledge base.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5. Optionally pick a Product<\/strong>, if you cover several product lines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

6. Set a Featured Image<\/strong> for the thumbnail in the archive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

7. Publish<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Drafts and revisions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Docs are ordinary WordPress content, so you get Save Draft<\/strong>, scheduled publishing, Preview<\/strong> and the full revision history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Only published docs are sent to the AI when you sync, and views are not counted on previews or for anyone who can edit the doc – so drafting never distorts your dashboard figures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Putting docs in order<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Docs appear in the order you set, not alphabetically, and that order applies everywhere: the archive, the topic listings, and the previous\/next links at the bottom of a doc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    You set it by dragging rows<\/strong> on NiroHelp \u2192 Docs<\/strong>. Drop a row in its new place and the order is saved for you. Topics are reordered the same way on NiroHelp \u2192 Topics<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Two things to know:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
