Without both, it does not appear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The settings<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>NiroHelp \u2192 AI \u2192 Auto responder<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><thead><tr><th>Setting<\/th><th>Default<\/th><th>What it does<\/th><\/tr><\/thead><tbody><tr><td><strong>Enable auto responder<\/strong><\/td><td>off<\/td><td>The master switch.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Delay<\/strong><\/td><td>5 minutes<\/td><td>How long to wait before replying. Minutes, hours or days.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Confidence threshold<\/strong><\/td><td>70<\/td><td>How sure the AI has to be, from 0 to 100, before its answer is posted.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Comment author name<\/strong><\/td><td>Support Bot<\/td><td>The name on the reply.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Change ticket status<\/strong><\/td><td>off<\/td><td>Whether the bot&#8217;s reply moves the ticket to <em>In Progress<\/em>.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How one reply happens<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A ticket is created, <strong>or<\/strong> a client posts a follow-up.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>NiroHelp queues a single reply for that ticket, due after your delay.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>When the time comes, it checks whether it should still run &#8211; see below.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It sends the AI service the ticket title, the client&#8217;s name and email, the order reference, the products, the urgency and the whole conversation. The client&#8217;s most recent message is the question; on a brand-new ticket, the description is.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The service answers and rates how relevant its answer is.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If the rating clears your threshold, the answer is posted as a reply under the author name you chose.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">When it stays quiet<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The queued reply is dropped, silently, when:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The feature is off.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The site is not connected.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The ticket is <strong>Resolved<\/strong>, <strong>Closed<\/strong> or <strong>Cancelled<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Somebody replied after the reply was queued.<\/strong> The bot only speaks into a vacuum.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The AI&#8217;s confidence is below your threshold.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A human reply always wins<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><thead><tr><th>What happens<\/th><th>Effect on the queued reply<\/th><\/tr><\/thead><tbody><tr><td>An agent replies<\/td><td>Cancelled. A human got there first.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>A client replies<\/td><td>Cancelled and requeued, so the timer restarts and the bot answers the newest message.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>A ticket is created<\/td><td>Queued.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There is only ever one queued reply per ticket.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Choosing a threshold<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The threshold is the difference between a useful auto-reply and a confidently<br>\nwrong one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>70<\/strong> (the default) means the bot answers only when your docs clearly cover the question.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>85<\/strong> is more conservative: more tickets reach a human, and the replies that do go out are better.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Below 50<\/strong> is rarely a good idea.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you see the bot answering and an agent immediately correcting it, raise the threshold. A longer set of <a href=\"https:\/\/nirohelp.com\/docs\/ai-assistance\/custom-instructions\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">custom instructions<\/a> will not fix<br> a confidence problem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The logs<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>NiroHelp \u2192 AI \u2192 Auto responder \u2192 View logs<\/strong> is meant to list every call with its confidence score and outcome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>That screen has no data yet.<\/strong> The AI service does not provide the log feed, so the screen reports the service&#8217;s error instead of a list. This is on the service side, not something wrong with your site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Status changes and the bot<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Posting a reply normally moves the ticket.
