It works on<br \/>\nany site \u2014 WordPress, plain HTML, anything \u2014 and the widget appears in the<br \/>\ncorner by itself.<\/p>\n<h2>Get your snippet<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Go to <strong>NiroHelp \u2192 AI \u2192 Chatbot<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Set the <strong>Agent name<\/strong>, <strong>Avatar<\/strong>, <strong>Primary colour<\/strong> and <strong>Launcher<br \/>\n   position<\/strong>, plus anything under <strong>Advanced<\/strong>. See<br \/>\n   <a href=\"https:\/\/nirohelp.com\/docs\/ai-assistance\/customizing-the-chatbot\/\">Customizing the chatbot<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>View Code<\/strong>. A dialog shows your snippet, already filled in with your<br \/>\n   site key and your settings.<\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>Copy to clipboard<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2>Paste it into the site<\/h2>\n<p>The snippet goes just before the closing <code>&lt;\/body&gt;<\/code> tag. Three common ways:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Your WordPress theme:<\/strong> paste it into <code>footer.php<\/code> just before <code>&lt;\/body&gt;<\/code>.<br \/>\n  Use a child theme so a theme update does not wipe it.<\/li>\n<li><strong>A header-and-footer scripts plugin<\/strong> \u2014 Insert Headers and Footers, WPCode<br \/>\n  and the like: paste it into the <strong>Body<\/strong> section.<\/li>\n<li><strong>A site that is not WordPress:<\/strong> paste it into the page template just before<br \/>\n  <code>&lt;\/body&gt;<\/code>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>The easier route for a customer&#8217;s WordPress site<\/h2>\n<p>The <strong>Download Plugin<\/strong> button on the same screen wraps your snippet into a tiny<br \/>\nWordPress plugin. Your customer installs and activates it like any other plugin<br \/>\nand the chatbot appears \u2014 they never touch theme files. See<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/nirohelp.com\/docs\/ai-assistance\/download-plugin-shortcut\/\">The Download Plugin shortcut<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>Check it before you ship it<\/h2>\n<p>Click <strong>Preview<\/strong> to see the widget running on the Chatbot screen itself, using<br \/>\nwhatever is currently in the form. Preview, View Code and Download Plugin are<br \/>\nall built the same way, so what you preview is what you get. Click again after<br \/>\na change and it refreshes immediately \u2014 no save, paste and reload loop.<\/p>\n<h2>What the visitor sees<\/h2>\n<p>A round chat button in the corner in your primary colour. Clicking it slides up<br \/>\nthe chat panel. The first message is your welcome line, with your suggested<br \/>\nquestions above the input if you set any. The visitor types a question and the<br \/>\nanswer arrives in the panel.<\/p>\n<p>The conversation is kept only for that browser tab. Closing the tab clears it \u2014<br \/>\nsee <a href=\"https:\/\/nirohelp.com\/docs\/ai-assistance\/chatbot-conversation-storage\/\">Where chatbot conversations are kept<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>About the site key in the snippet<\/h2>\n<p>The snippet carries your site key, and that is fine \u2014 <strong>it is a public key<\/strong>, in<br \/>\nthe same way a Google Maps key is public. Anyone can read it out of your page.<\/p>\n<p>If it is ever abused, click <strong>Disconnect<\/strong> on <strong>NiroHelp \u2192 AI<\/strong> and register<br \/>\nagain.
