The Download Plugin<\/strong> button under NiroHelp \u2192 AI \u2192 Chatbot<\/strong> wraps your
\nchatbot snippet into a tiny WordPress plugin. This is the easiest way to get the
\nchatbot onto a customer’s site \u2014 they never edit a theme file or paste code.<\/p>\n

What you get<\/h2>\n

Clicking the button downloads nirohelp-chatbot.zip<\/code>. Inside is one small
\nplugin whose only job is to add your chatbot to the footer of every page.<\/p>\n

Your current settings are baked in at the moment you click.<\/strong> What you get
\nmatches what is on screen, saved or not. Change something later and you
\nre-download.<\/p>\n

Installing it on a customer site<\/h2>\n
    \n
  1. In the customer’s WordPress admin, go to Plugins \u2192 Add New \u2192 Upload
    \n Plugin<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  2. Pick the nirohelp-chatbot.zip<\/code> file.<\/li>\n
  3. Click Install Now<\/strong>, then Activate<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The chat launcher appears in the corner on every page. There is nothing else to
    \nconfigure \u2014 the plugin has no settings screen of its own.<\/p>\n

    Updating it later<\/h2>\n

    There is no auto-update.<\/strong> To change the agent name, colour, business hours or
    \nanything else on a site that already has it:<\/p>\n

    1. Change the fields on your<\/strong> NiroHelp \u2192 AI \u2192 Chatbot<\/strong> screen.<\/li>\n
    2. Re-download the zip.<\/li>\n
    3. On the customer’s site, deactivate and delete the old plugin, then upload the
      \n new one.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      This or the plain snippet?<\/h2>\n

      • Use the plugin<\/strong> when a non-technical site owner has to install it
        \n themselves and you would rather they did not touch theme files.<\/li>\n
      • Paste the snippet<\/strong> when you or your developer already manage the site’s
        \n footer, or when the site is not WordPress.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
